Superintendent of the Year Application
The AREA recognizes two (2 ) Superintendents of the Year, one from the North and one from the South of Interstate 40, for outstanding Leadership in education. Each Educational Service Cooperative nominates a deserving candidate, who must be a member of AREA. The nominee will complete the online application and submit it to the ESC Director for their signature. Once all applications have been received by the AREA, the selection committee will present the winners at the 2022 AREA Summer Conference. Teacher of the Year
The AREA recognizes two (2 ) Teachers of the Year, one from the North and one from the South of Interstate 40, as an outstanding Arkansas educator. Each Educational Service Cooperative nominates a deserving candidate, whose district must be a member of AREA. The nominee will complete the online application and submit it to the ESC Director or Teacher Center Coordinator for their signature. Once all applications have been received by the AREA, the selection committee will present the winners at the 2022 AREA Summer Conference. Arkansas Rural Electric Cooperatives provide the selected Teachers of the Year $1,000 each and a crystal apple. Click here to access the Teacher of the Year
The award applications open on January 1st and will be accepted until April 8, 2022.
